Guided by Voices, the much vaunted 'classic lineup,' have reunited after a nearly a decade's absence, and are playing first avenue in October! I don't make this claim lightly, but Bob Pollard ranks up with McCartney and Lennon in pure, rock songwriting chops. In honor, a posting of one of their best:
