Last Friday, Sara and I decided on an apartment, about four miles from downtown Portland, chosen for reasons including a deck, patio, and modern appliances like a dishwasher, and off-street parking, with which we've heretofore done without. Just days ago, we arranged for a moving truck, and have planned our going-away party (an extravaganza, actually.)
As she promised in the midst of this winter, things would start to happen, quickly. She was right. I want to take a moment, here, for anyone close to me to reads this blog, to express my love and respect. I'm undertaking this relocation for a few reasons: Firstly, I'm in a position, financially, to do this, something I've never been able to enact. Secondly, I'm in love for the first time, and can embark on this venture with someone special at my side.
To everyone who has given their unconditional love and support to me over the years, you will always be held in highest esteem in my heart, and you will not be soon forgotten. There are many unknowns ahead, but I'm anchored by strong emotional underpinnings, the generosity of spirit from friends and family. Thank you, all, and may the wind always be at your back.
